Workshop life..

We love what we do and the passion for the craft is what drives us. Things have been very busy in the workshop and we are working harder to get the orders out faster.  The products we make are not mass produced we make them one at a time with attention to detail. Lead times vary however we try to meet the expectations of a fast-moving market. For a custom desk, 6-8 weeks is a realistic time frame. This gives the finish on the desk time to cure ensuring that wood is protected from general liquid and light impact, scratches and scuffs. You can see below our original  Moov standing desktop being machined from a sheet of premium birch plywood. Once it is machined we then glue and assemble the custom edging for that thick minimal look.  After filling and sanding we then prepare the top for two coats of clear lacquer. This process can take about 2 weeks even longer in winter.
